Construction Accidents
- A construction worker fell from a ladder while working on a job site, sustaining neck fractures. Roura & Melamed recovered a $3 million settlement, after appeal, for the client's injuries.
- A worker doing apartment renovations was working on an unstable ladder. He fell backward and the ladder landed on top of him. We reached a $1.5 million settlement for his serious back injury (herniated disc).
- A construction worker from Ecuador suffered cervical fractures (neck injury) when he fell from scaffolding outside an apartment building. We secured a jury verdict of $2.5 million (compensation for lost wages was reduced on appeal).
- We settled at $1.2 million for a facial fracture and scarring in another construction accident case.

Airport Accident —An airport worker was struck by a large plane-mate vehicle. Our client suffered a severe injury to his lower leg and required above-the-knee amputation. After appeal, Roura & Melamed recovered $7.5 million on our client's behalf for the pain and suffering, as well as another $4 million in lost earnings and medical expenses.

Auto Accidents —A 41-year-old woman's leg was caught when her car flipped, resulting in surgical amputation above the knee. We secured a jury verdict of $9.3 million for her losses. For another client, we won a $2.3 million verdict at trial for below-the-knee amputation from a car accident.
ATV Accident — Roura & Melamed obtained $7 million from the manufacturer of a 4-wheeler that left our client paralyzed (paraplegic) when the ATV fell on him as he was loading it on a trailer.
Lead Poisoning —An infant suffered brain damage from eating lead-based paint chips in an apartment building. We won $6 million at trial, upheld in a precedent-setting appeal.
